On behalf of the men and women who comprise your Sheriff's office, I am proud to present to you the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office Web Site. This site gives your Sheriff's Office the unique opportunity to present our community with information regarding the operations of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office. We have taken great strides to make the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's website one of the most informative community oriented sites in the nation. On a weekly average, over 30,000 visitors use this site to develop an understandng of our Counties Most Wanted criminals, Missing Persons, Sex Offenders and to see who is in jail. In additon we offer a number of features so we can understand what we can do better to serve Tuscaloosa County. This Web site also recognizes our employees who serve you with dedication, the utilization of your valuable tax dollars, and the service this office provides to our county. Tuscaloosa County is currently home to 179,448 citizens, with a total of 1,351 total square miles.

The Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office is dedicated to accomplishing the organizational mission of a commitment to quality service with an emphasis on integrity, professionalism, and community spirit. The Sheriff's Office has been able to resolve challenges and achieve success as a result of the efforts of our members and the citizen/law enforcement partnerships that are dedicated to a safe and productive community. We continue to face challenges that threaten the quality of life in our communities. Through cooperation, communications, problem solving partnerships, and dedication, our county can and will address the needs to provide necessary services and therefore enhance the quality of life for our citizens while reducing the fear of crime.

Each citizen in Tuscaloosa County can be proud to share in the successes of your Sheriff's Office. During this past year various command and organizational changes have been implemented to begin this process.
