The Technical Services Group includes all specialized units of the Sheriff’s Office. These units are specially trained in areas that are outside the scope of normal day to day operations of a patrol deputy. The Group includes the Tactical Unit, the Aviation Unit, the K9 Unit, EOD Unit, and Crime Suppression Unit. Each Unit has deputies assigned that are trained in specific areas of expertise. These Units stand ready to assist law enforcement in Tuscaloosa County and the surrounding area. The Technical Services Group is headed by Chief G.W. Keller.
